I come from Cincinnati, where I had big fantasies and no ability to bring them into reality. So I got wasted, really really wasted and into a lot of trouble. Then one day I got an offer to move to Chicago and I took it, thinking, "In the big city, I will put my life together." It kind of happened that way. I found improvisational, sketch and stand-up comedy- finally some things I was good at. Then one rough day I suddenly had to make a choice between creativity and self-destruction. I chose the former. It was a simple choice, but not an easy one that I have to work at every day. My life is not perfect but it is beautiful today.
